Come And See What God Has Done

by | Jan 11, 2022

As I write this, Christmas 2021 is now in the past. However, one of the songs of the season is stuck in my head, and although I am not one to play Christmas songs off-season, you just might hear this song at my house year-round. The song I’m referring to is “Noel,” sung by Lauren Daigle.

The refrain in “Noel” says:

Noel, Noel

Come and see what God has done

Noel, Noel

The story of amazing love!

The light of the world, given for us

Noel

The song is clearly about the birth of our Savior. However, the line “come and see what God has done” has really spoken to and convicted me this season. If we call ourselves followers of Christ, shouldn’t we be able to say “come and see what God has done” about ourselves? Shouldn’t our lives reflect that God has done something?

As we start 2022, may each of us live our lives in such a way that people can clearly see what God has done, and may they see His amazing love shining through us.
