I am YOUR God

by | Dec 21, 2021

I am not only THE God, but I am also YOUR God. (John 1:12, Romans 8:16, Psalm 100:3, Revelation 21:3)

I love you with an everlasting love. (Jeremiah 31:3, Psalm 103:17)

I foreknew you and predestined you to be conformed to the image of My Son and one His many brothers and sisters. I called you into my family, justified you, and glorified you. (Romans 8:29-30)

I drew you with cords of kindness. (Hosea 11:4)

I loved you first – even when you were still lost in sin and rebellion against Me. (Romans 5: 6,8, 1 John 4:19)

If you have accepted my gift of salvation by placing your faith in my Son, Jesus Christ, then we have a covenant relationship. A covenant is not a contract. In a contract I only hold up my end of the agreement if you hold up yours. My covenant with you is everlasting – for all eternity. (Genesis 17:7, Isaiah 55:3, Ezekiel 16:60.) My covenant with you is not based on your behavior, your performance, your appearance, your possessions, or your connections. It is based on my Holiness, my Goodness, my Perfect Love, and my Impeccable Character. This is what my covenant with you means:

I always fulfill my Word. (Isaiah 55:11)

I always keep my promises and honor my commitments. (Psalm 145:13)

I always love you, no matter what. (Lamentations 3:22-23, Psalm 136:23)

I am always FOR you. (Romans 8:31)

I always provide what you need when you need it. (2 Corinthians 9:8, James 1:17, Matthew 6:25, 32)

I care about everything in your life – not just the big issues, but also the little details. (Psalm 55:22, 1 Peter 5:7)

I will never leave or forsake you for any reason. (Deuteronomy 31:8, Joshua 1:5, Psalm 94:14)

I am always working in your life, even if you don’t think you see results. (John 5:17)

I am always with you, even if you don’t feel my Presence. (John 14:16-17, 26)

I always have your best interests at heart, even if you don’t understand my Ways, Timing, or Purpose. (Isaiah 55:8-9)

I make all things (every situation, circumstance, event) work together for your good and My Glory. (Romans 8:28)

I am the God who created the entire Universe simply by speaking it into existence. Is anything too hard for me to accomplish? (Genesis 1:1, Jeremiah 32:27)

Because with Me all things are possible, I can:

  • Forgive any sin, no matter how unforgivable you may think it is
  • Redeem any situation, no matter how horrible, devastating, or destructive
  • Replace what has been stolen
  • Rebuild what the enemy has destroyed
  • Resurrect what has died
  • Find whatever has been lost (Luke 15:4-10)
  • Restore what has been damaged or broken
  • Regain what has been taken away
  • Bring victory out of defeat (Isaiah 54:17, 1 John 5:4-5)
  • Heal all your diseases, afflictions, sickness (Psalm 41:3)
  • Open your prison door and ransom you from captivity to evil (Isaiah 42:7, 61:1)
  • Give you a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair (Isaiah 61:3)
  • Free you from being a slave to sin (Romans 6:17-18)
  • Sanctify you completely and keep your soul and body complete and blameless at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:23)
  • Release you from bondage to fear by my Perfect Love (1 John 4:18) and give you a unique measure of faith (Ephesians 2:8, Hebrews 11:1)

Next time to you have a problem – bring it to me.

Next time you face what seems like an impossible challenge – rely on my strength and wisdom to overcome.

Next time you don’t know what to do, ask me for advice and guidance.

Next time you experience lack, trust in my infinite supply.

Next time you feel alone, rejected, or abandoned, remember that wherever you are, My Spirit is present. (Psalm 139:7-10) You are the temple of my Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), you are seated with My Son Jesus in the heavenly realm (Ephesians 2:6) and always welcome in the Most Holy Place, My Throne Room (Hebrews 4:16.)

Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8)
